Asphalt Fibreglass Shingles — A & G Roofing

Asphalt Fibreglass Shingles

The most popular choice for homeowners — a wide range of styles and colours to suit any budget.

Asphalt fibreglass shingles remain the most popular roofing choice for Ontario homeowners, offering entry-level pricing, lifetime performance and a wide colour selection. Our CertainTeed Landmark line is our best-selling shingle for good reason.

Landmark PRO builds on the standard Landmark with more weight per square and Max Def colour blends for added curb appeal, plus increased SureStart™ protection.

  • CertainTeed Landmark — entry-level price, lifetime performance
  • CertainTeed Landmark PRO — heavier shingle, Max Def colour, increased SureStart™ coverage
  • 10-year SureStart™ non-prorated coverage on both lines

Yes — the PRO shingle is heavier (15 lbs more per square), carries increased SureStart™ protection, and its Max Def colour technology gives your roof a deeper, more vibrant look that standard shingles can’t match.

Steel Roofing — A & G Roofing

Steel Roofing

Standing Seam steel — bold, industrial elegance with hidden fasteners and lifetime performance.

Standing Seam steel delivers a sleek, modern aesthetic with razor-sharp lines and a hidden-fastener design — a high-performance architectural statement engineered to defy the elements for a lifetime.

We use 24-gauge steel rather than the standard 26-gauge for superior structural rigidity, and Mechanically Seamed panels rather than snap-lock for a permanent, watertight lock.

  • 24-gauge steel for superior snow-load and wind resistance
  • Mechanically seamed panels — cannot be un-clipped by thermal expansion or wind uplift
  • Hidden fastener design — zero exposed screws through the roof face

The extra thickness provides superior structural rigidity and pull-through resistance, so the roof handles heavy snow loads and high-velocity winds without the metal stretching or fasteners stressing over time.

Composite Shake and Slate — A & G Roofing

Composite Shake and Slate

Euroshield composite — the look of slate or hand-split shake, made from 95% recycled rubber.

Composite shake and slate capture the timeless beauty of heavy slate or hand-split shake with the durability of Euroshield, crafted from 95% recycled materials. Vermont Slate replicates the rugged elegance of natural stone; Beaumont Shake mirrors the warmth of real cedar.

Both profiles carry a Class 4 Impact Rating — the highest available — engineered to stand up to extreme hail without cracking, curling or splitting.

  • Vermont Slate — deep-etched, high-definition texture that replicates natural slate
  • Beaumont Shake — deep-grain texture that mirrors real cedar, fire-resistant
  • Class 4 Impact Rating — the highest hail-resistance rating available

Euroshield is an eco-friendly system made from 95% recycled rubber, primarily tires. Both profiles carry a Class 4 Impact Rating, meaning they can withstand extreme hail without cracking, curling or splitting like natural wood or slate.

Residential Low Slope — A & G Roofing

Residential Low Slope

Commercial-grade membrane systems for roof sections below a 2-in-12 slope.

When you have roof sections below a slope of 2 in 12, shingles aren’t recommended — water doesn’t shed fast enough, leading to leaks. We install commercial-grade membrane systems built for shallow pitches: TPO and EPDM.

TPO is a heat-welded single-ply membrane with a reflective "cool roof" surface. EPDM is a high-density rubber membrane, glued or taped, known for decades of proven performance in cold climates.

  • TPO — heat-welded seams create a monolithic, watertight barrier; reflective cool-roof surface
  • EPDM — flexible, durable rubber membrane suited to cold climates
  • Ideal for additions, porch transitions and flat roof sections

It comes down to how the seams are joined. EPDM is a synthetic rubber that is glued or taped, making it flexible and durable in cold climates. TPO is a thermoplastic membrane heat-welded into a monolithic, one-piece roof that resists pulling apart.

Cedar Shake and Shingles — A & G Roofing

Cedar Shake and Shingles

Natural luxury — #1 Perfection Cedar Shingles, vertical-grain heartwood cut to 18 inches.

As beautiful as they are rustic, cedar products are the natural choice for discerning homeowners. Our #1 Perfection Cedar Shingles are sawn to a precise 18-inch length from 100% vertical-grain heartwood for a clean, uniform, knot-free profile.

Cedar Shingles are sawn on both sides for a smooth, tailored look; Cedar Shakes are hand-split on one side for a thicker, more rustic appearance. Both offer excellent natural insulation.

  • #1 Perfection Cedar Shingles — 100% vertical-grain, knot-free heartwood
  • Natural weathering — amber tones transition to a classic silver-grey patina over time
  • Installed with proper ventilation and underlayment for maximum lifespan

Cedar is a natural material that weathers as it’s exposed to UV rays and moisture. Over the first few years, warm amber tones naturally transition into a classic silver-grey patina — a purely aesthetic change, not a sign of lost structural integrity.
